General Information:
Hannah was one of the two females we purchased when we first entered this business. She is the alpha alpaca of our herd and has the most unique personality. Hannah keeps everything straight in the barn. I have noticed that she is the one the younger ones, even unrelated cria and yearlings, will run to if they feel something is amiss. I have nicknamed her "Aunti Hannah" due to her terrific mothering skills, that go beyond just her cria.
Hannah is a large alpacas with fine dark fawn fleece. She passes on her fineness and size to her cria.
Hannah is always the first to greet you. When we come into the barn, she is there with a kiss. She will greet, but is not usually the type to hang around for an affectionate rub from me. Her shows of affection must always be on her terms and usually when you least expect them.
Hannah is an older female and would be a great purchase for the practical buyer. She does not have all the pizazz that a younger version would, but she has qualities that only an experience mom has. Hannah is the BEST MOTHER in our herd. Her cria get ample milk, tons of affection, lots of protection.
Every alpaca has a special quality. I would have to say that Hannah's quality is that she is a great breeder and mother. Hannah is not the most attractive of our alpacas. However, she makes absolutely beautiful babies. Her cria let the best attributes of the sire come out in great detail. The cria do acquire Hannah's size and fine fiber. Hannah's last 4 breedings have been to ELK Bodacious. This pair has made 3 beautiful cria. Yellow Rose's Sugar Blossom Yellow Rose's Rocket , and Captain Barbarosa reside on the farm.
Hannah is currently bred to Eggo and in due in late fall 2008.
Hannah with Sugar Blossom (2005 cria) and Rocket (2006 cria).
Hannah is NOT for sale. She has produced such wonderful cria and has won our hearts. Since she is getting older, we wanted her to have a forever home, so we will be keeping her.
